‘“In recognition of his good services in the boat during the period in which he held office” (1891-1901). Rescues were carried out from the schooner Suomi (1894), the ketch Martin Luther (1895), the brig Flamingo (1896), the ketch Firefly (1897), the schooner Julia (1899), the brig Mary Kate, the yawl Dorothy, and the S.S.
