Antiquities, Roman, bronze plate brooch depicting an eagle catching a hare, late 2nd century AD, 3.5cm long by 2.5cm wide, open-work design with a hollowed out and concave back; the eagle has four incised lines representing its wing, with its open beak and feet clutching the hare below; the pin behind is present but slightly bent (cf. Hattatt 1161). Green patina with slight roughness £60-£80
