Adam Jordan was born in the Parish of Irvine, Ayrshire, and enlisted for the Royal Horse Artillery at Glasgow on 3 September 1808, aged 21 years, for a period of unlimited service. He served in James Webber-Smith’s “F” Troop in the Peninsula and at Waterloo, and was discharged at Woolwich on 31 March 1830, being unfit for further service from rheumatic pains in the shoulder and limbs. Sold with copy discharge papers.
