English Hammered Gold Coins from the Collection of Barry Allen

Henry VIII (1509-1547), Second coinage, Halfcrown, Tower, mm. arrow, hi both sides (Jane Seymour), no pellets beside i, saltire stops, 1.82g/2h (Whitton p.181, iv/2; cf. SCBI Schneider 605; N 1795; S 2287). Small crack in legend and a little creased, otherwise good very fine on a large flan, very rare (£1,200-1,500)
