James I (1406-1437), Groat, First fleur-de-lis issue, Edinburgh, mm. cross pattée, tressure of eight arcs, lis and two saltires on bust, lis and i by neck, i on sceptre handle, saltire to right of crown, rev. one small and three large pellets in first and fourth quarters, lis, pellet and saltire in second and third quarters, lis in centre, 2.15g/7h (SCBI 35 –; cf. B 17; S 5195). Creased and with some verdigris, otherwise fine (£60-80)
