Military Medal, G.V.R. (633102 Pte., 1/20 Lond. R.) minor official correction to part of surname and ‘1’ of unit; British War and Victory Medals (6210 Cpl., 20-Lond. R.) rank officially corrected on both medals; together with memorial plaque (Robert Douglas King) and illuminated memorial scroll, these last two contained in a contemporary glazed display frame, the reverse of frame with Buckingham Palace scroll set in, good very fine or better (4) £400-500

Robert Douglas King, a native of Liverpool was killed in action near Moislains on 6 September 1918, whilst serving with ‘D’ Company, 1/20th Battalion, London Regiment. His entry in the Peronne Cemetery C.W.G.C. Register further states that he was twice previously wounded and nominated for a commission.
