Clemant Charles Banham enlisted at Blackheath. He was killed in action on 21 May 1916. Having no known grave, his name is commemorated on the Arras Memorial.
Major Eric Ball, 20th Battalion London Regiment, was wounded on 25/26 September 1915; Lieutenant Malcom E. Ball, M.B., R.A.M.C., died of wounds in Mesopotamia, 10 April 1916, aged 30 years. Includes the book, Elements of Human Physiology, by E. H. Starling, inscribed to ‘Malcolm E. Ball, West Court, Lewisham Hill, S.E. and Guy’s Hospital’.
