Lieutenant Oliver George Norman Stacke was born in 1894 and educated at Sherborne and R.M.C. Sandhurst. He was wounded and taken prisoner of war on 26 August 1914 but managed to escape, returning to the front he was killed in action at Festubert on 15 May 1915. Regimental history confirms.
