Thomas Alexander McKim was born in Glasgow on 18 June 1888. A Motor Engineer by occupation he enlisted into the R.N.A.S. as a Petty Officer Mechanic on 17 November 1914. Based at Pembroke III and President II, he served in German East Africa, Crystal Palace and Aberdeen, being transferred in April 1918 to the R.A.F. Sold with copied service paper.
