Harry Dodd joined the 9th (T.A.) Battalion Manchester Regiment in the 1930’s and transferred to the 2nd battalion in February 1935. Served in the B.E.F. and evacuated from Dunkirk. Transferred to the 1st Battalion Loyal North Lancashire Regiment in July 1940 and served in North Africa and Italy. Post war he transferred to the Army Physical Training Corps and was attached to the 5th Scottish Parachute Battalion. With few copied service notes.
