James I (1406-1437), Groat, First Fleur-de-lis issue, Linlithgow, mm. cross pattée, small neat bust, tressure of eight arcs, lis and two saltires on bust, lis and i by neck, i on sceptre handle, reads linlithg, no extra pellet in second quarter, 2.03g/3h (B fig. 472, same obv. die; SCBI 35, 657ff; S 5199). Ghosting of reverse cross on obverse, otherwise good fine, very rare £600-£800
