FRANCE, Cléopâtre, 1902, a bronze plaque by E. Fremiet for the SAMF, bust right, lovebirds in ac monogram at left, necklace below, rev. Cleopatra, enthroned, rides an elephant to right, lion behind, attendants riding another elephant behind her, all being led by an ibis, 83 x 66mm, edge stamped 232 (Maier 16; PBE 462; Coll. R. Marx 106; cf. Baldwin 81, 3523). Very fine and a sensitive study, very rare £600-£800
