A German Second World War Luftwaffe Observer’s Badge.
A very nice engraved reverse side Lufwaffe Observer’s Badge by Assmann. Good detail to the wreath and observer style eagle. Heavy early convex construction. Original owner’s name ‘Schobert’ hand engraved into the reverse side of the wreath, with its original pin, hook and hinge. Fitted in its presentation case that has some scuffs to the exterior of the lid and the faint outline of the ‘BOEBACHTER ABZ’. The paper cover of the hinge has broken away. The upper inner lid and the lower base are covered in blue flock, very good condition £600-£800
