Stanley Flint enlisted on 9 November 1914, and served in France with the Royal Welsh Fusiliers from 2 December 1915. He was permanently attached to 254 Tunnelling Company from March 1916 to September 1917, when he rejoined the 15th Battalion, Royal Welsh Fusiliers and was posted to the 17th Battalion on 6 February 1918. He received a gunshot wound in the left knee on 6 October 1918, and was transferred to Class “Z” Reserve on 26 April 1919.

William James Flint served in France with 7th Battalion King’s Royal Rifle Corps and was killed in action on 30 June 1915. He is commemorated by name on the Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial.
