R. W. Manley attested into Driscoll’s Scouts on 19 March 1900 and served during the Boer War as a Transport Sergeant. He was discharged on 30 November 1901 and reenlisted into the Army Service Corps, serving as a Conductor.
Sold with copied medal roll extracts confirming all clasps on his Queen’s South Africa Medal together with further entitlement to a ‘South Africa 1901’ clasp, and confirmation of the award of a no clasp King’s South Africa medal. Highly unusual.
