Robert Pardon from Bolton, Lancashire, attested into the South Wales Borderers for service during the Great War and served on the Western Front with the 1st Battalion. He was killed in action whilst attached to the 10th Battalion on 18 October 1918 and is commemorated on the Vis-En-Artois Memorial, France.
