Michael John Redgwell was born in Southampton on 23 February 1950 and attested originally for the Royal Engineers. He transferred to the Royal Army Pay Corps on 10 September 1972, and was promoted Corporal on 10 September 1973, and Sergeant in July 1980. He was awarded his Long Service and Good Conduct Medal on 4 April 1985, and was promoted Staff Sergeant on 1 October 1985. He died in Wimborne, Dorset, on 9 July 2014.
