A 1914 Star to Sergeant E. L. Wainright, Sappers and Miners, Indian Army, who was commissioned in to the 15th (Ludhiana) Sikhs and died at Home due to the effects of gas, on 15 September 1915

Eric Lawrence Wainright served with the 31st Indian Divisional Signal Company, Sappers and Miners, during the Great War on the Western Front from 16 October 1914 (also entitled to a clasp to his 1914 Star). He was subsequently commissioned as a Lieutenant into the 15th (Ludhiana) Sikhs, Indian Army, and died at Home as a consequence of the effects of gas on 15 September 1915. He is buried in Highgate Cemetery, London.
