Euston Theatre of Varieties Bank, a collection of advertising leaflets in the form of cheques (6), all denominated 1 Shilling, 6 Pence and 3 Pence, and detailing the opening times and various prices of admission, dating variously between 1902 and 1909, all advertising different performances and special acts on reverse, the earlier three with signatures of Adney Payne and Fred McAvoy, the final three Henry Gros and Fred McAvoy, a few with knocks and small tears, but a wonderful group of items showing that these notes were anything but a one-off, very scarce (6 notes)

The Euston Variety Theatre was built in 1900 and operated very successfully under this name until 1920, when it was renamed the Regent Theatre. It was converted to a cinema between 1932 and 1935. It was demolished by the council in 1968 so they could extend their town hall!
