Bank Restriction Bill, an original copy of the 'Anti-Hanging note', 1819, a satirical note designed by George Cruickshank, signed by J. Ketch (the hangman), with a design very similar to the Bank of England white notes, this example with ‘ROPE’ written in black tablet at left instead of the usual ten faces, laid down on part of an album page, with a few additional newspaper cuttings and some cartoons on reverse, the ‘ROPE’ variety vastly rarer, a wonderful piece of political commentary
