BELGIUM, Pour l’Art, XXVe Salon, Brussels [25th Salon for Arts], 1923, a uniface bronze plaque by A. Bonnetain for Fonson on behalf of the Cercle littéraire et artistique, two naked youths, surrounded by bees, squeeze honey from a honeycomb into a vessel, beehive at left, edge impressed j. fonson, 61 x 44mm, 69.18g (BM Acq. 1978-82, pl. 11, 5; Coll. Nivaille 459; cf. Elsen 156, 1946; cf. Gärtner 30, 27064; cf. WAG 29, 2347). Removed from previous edge support, very fine £20-£30
