Adams] for the rev. of his Art Union of London medal, Venus and Cupid descending from the heavens, clouds behind, 270mm, 1,154.20g (cf. Beaulah 20; cf. BHM 2938; cf. BM Acq. 1983-7, pl. 70, 2; cf. BDM I, 24; cf. E 1621). Extremely fine and very rare; mounted in a gilt and glazed frame with wooden surround [370mm], hook at top for suspension £300-£400
