Alexander III (1249-1286), Second coinage, Sterling, class E2, mm. plain cross on obv., cross pattée on rev., lettering with incurved uprights, bust left, pellet between d and e of alexander, rev. long cross, four mullets of five points in angles, extra pellets in two quarters, 1.36g/3h (SCBI 35, 208; B 39/34a, fig. 170/168A; S 5056). Nearly very fine, the variety extremely rare £100-£120
