M.M. London Gazette 6 August 1918.

George McCallum attested for the Highland Light Infantry and served with the 10/11th Battalion during the Great War on the Western Front from 2 October 1915. A photograph of the recipient, announcing the award of the M.M., and stating that he had ‘taken part in most of the big engagements, and had some narrow escapes’, appeared in the Midlothian Advertiser on 31 May 1918.
