Gouvernements Noots, a pair of notes with cotton sewn repairs, £1 (2), Pietersburg, 1 February 1901, serial number 3894A, and 1 April 1901, serial number 11490A, no visible watermarks, ‘uitgelost’ on reverse, first with corner torn of and sewn on by hand, second split in half and sewn back together, both notes very good, but remarkable survivors showing a certain degree of ingenuity or desperation!
