Continental Iron Age, GALLO-BELGIC, gold Stater, c. 150 BC, series Ab [Ambiani, VA], celticised head of Apollo left, with hair formed in neat wreath, rev. Celticized horse bounding left, winked Nike flying above, rosette below, numerous celestial ornaments around, rosette below, 7.25g/11h (Sills class 4a [O26R/R25]; ABC 4; BMC –; VA 12-1; S 2). A few trifling edge marks, otherwise very fine, the reverse remarkably well centred and clear £2,000-£2,600
