Ivor Ewart Geirge Biddle was born on Alverstoke, Hampshire, and attested for the Grenadier Guards at Gosport, Hampshire. Transferring to the Guards Machine Gun Regiment, he served with the 4th Battalion during the Great War on the Western Front, and was killed in action on 1 June 1918. He is buried in Bienvillers Military Cemetery, France.
