Peter Beveridge was born in Kilconquhar, Fife, and attested for the Scots Guards at Leven, Fife, serving with them during the Great War on the Western Front. Transferring to the 3rd Guards Brigade Machine Gun Company on 6 July 1916, he was killed in action on 25 September 1916. He has no known grave and is commemorated on the Thiepval Memorial, France.
