FRANCE, Cypris [Lady of Cyprus], 1925, a cast Art Déco bronze medal by C.-L.-L. Mascaux for M. Koller on behalf of the Société des Amis de la Médaille Française, winged cherub standing left in front of naked Cypris seated on the ground, she pulls the petals from a flower he proffers to her, rev. Cypris standing in the bow of a boat paddled by the cherub to right, edge impressed 109 and with foundry mark, 110mm, 357.20g (Maier 312; Attwood, The Medal 44, p.52; Aréthuse 18, pl. iv; cf. MDC 9, 848; cf. Baldwin 81, 3542). Good very fine, rare, a stunning Art Déco medal £500-£700
