England, John Wesley (1703-91), founder of the Methodist Movement, black and white oval jasperware portrait plaque by Wedgwood, c. pre-1891, bust left in gown and collar, after the portrait by Henry Edridge, 93mm x 70mm, stamped ‘Wedgwood’ on back; together with a further similar, black circular portrait plaque, 60mm, stamped ‘Wedgwood’ on back, date marks ‘o’ and impressed ‘nsm’ [2]. Both very fine examples, some minor scuff marks £70-£90
