Early Anglo-Saxon Period, Sceatta, Continental series E, variety G2, porcupine-like figure with zoomorphic features and long beak enclosing numerous pellets, trace of rectangular feature below, rev. beaded standard with four lines and two pellets arranged around central annulet, 0.92g (SCBI Abramson 211; Abramson 89-30; S 790D). A few minor metal flaws, otherwise very fine for issue £80-£100
