Early Anglo-Saxon Period, Sceatta, Primary Series, ‘Saroaldo’ type 11(ii), disintegrated head right with cap of spiky hair over low beaded diadem, jewelled collar around pyramidal torso, two pellet lips horizontally arranged, rev. saltire pommée in beaded standard, trio of pellets in each angle, pseudo-legend around, 0.97g/5h (SCBI Abramson 140/142-3; Abramson 7-40; N 44; S 784). Small edge chip, otherwise very fine and clear; a scarcer type £200-£260
