Early Anglo-Saxon Period, Sceatta, Secondary series X, Danish type B1, facing ‘Wodan’ head of heavy style, wearing radiate hair with pellet terminals and large drooping moustache, cross pommée on each side, rev. crested monster right, looking left, pellet below head, 0.97g/11h (SCBI Abramson 345, same dies; Schiesser NN 245, fig.4, this coin; Metcalf Cj var.; Abramson 103-30; N 116; S 797). Some light earthen deposits, otherwise very fine, obverse better and of distinctive style, grey-blue toning £500-£600
