Early Anglo-Saxon Period, Sceatta, Primary series BIIIA, type 27b, double-diademed head right with very small brow and pronounced chin and nose, three pellets before face, within clockwise beaded ouroboros, rev. bird right on cross, annulets by horizontal limbs, within clockwise beaded ouroboros, series of annulets without [in place of pseudo-legend] 1.22g/5h (SCBI Abramson –; cf. Abramson 16-70; S 777A). Very fine, some toning £120-£150
