Arthur Henry Edwards attested into the 1st Brecknockshire Battalion, South Wales Borderers and served on garrison duty in India during the Great War. He saw further service during the Afghanistan North West Frontier campaign of 1919 attached to the 1st Battalion, South Lancashire Regiment, and was discharged on 31 March 1920.
