British Iron Age, CATUVELLAUNI, Tasciovanus (25 BC - AD 10), silver Unit, Trailing Rein type, vii in panel on crossed wreaths, rev. horse right, rein trailing from nose between forelegs and hindlegs, 1.31g/11h (cf. ABC 2631; cf. BMC 1655; VA –; S 228). An interesting variety of an already rare type, obverse struck off-centre however the reverse is particularly sharp and of pleasing classical style, bright with a light dusty patina, better than very fine £150-£200

This coin appears to have been struck from the same dies as CCI 94.0689. These coins are unusual in that the rings which usually appear at the corners of the panel are missing.
