AD 10-40), gold Stater, class 5a [Tendril type], vine leaf dividing vi r[i], rev. warrior on horseback trotting right, oval shield and spear on his back, c o f in field, 5.28g/5h (SF 4; Sills 365 [O15/R26]; ABC 1193; BMC 1166, same obv. die; cf. VA 520-1; S 121). Some weakness below horse, otherwise good very fine, well-centred and struck on an attractive light coppery gold flan £900-£1,200
