British Iron Age, DUROTRIGES, Uninscribed issues, silver Stater, Spread Tail type, devolved head of Apollo comprising wreath, cloak and crescents, pellets around, rev. disjointed horse left, rectangular head, body of crescents, twelve pellets above, four vertical legs, large pellet below with pellet triad either side, three diverging lines for tail, 3.91g/6h (ABC 2160 var.; BMC 2662, 2690 var.; VA 1238-1 var.; S –). Rough surfaces, otherwise very fine for issue and an interesting variety £100-£150
