British Iron Age, ICENI, Ecen (c. AD 10-43), silver Unit, Retro type, double crescent emblem on vertical wreath, rev. horse left, double upper front legs, solid Y-shaped head, single dashes for mane, six pellets on shoulder, reversed s below head, pelletal sun above, retrograde ece below, 1.26g (ABC 1669; BMC 4514-38; VA 766-1; S 445). A couple minute spots of verdigris, otherwise lightly toned and well-centred, good very fine £100-£150
