British Iron Age, GALLO-BELGIC, Ambiani, plated Stater, series E, Gallic War Uniface type, plain shallow dome, rev. sinuous horse right, ornaments above and two coffee-bean motifs, large pellet below, corded design in exergue, 6.07g (cf. DT 239; cf. LT 8710; cf. ABC 16; BMC –; VA 52-3; cf. S 11). Silver core visible in small areas along edge, pale yellowish gold plating with coppery hues around horse, better than very fine for issue £100-£150
