Continental Iron Age, LOWER DANUBE, Tetradrachm, imitations of Thasos, c. 2nd-1st Century BC, head of Dionysos right, wearing wreath of ivy and fruit, rev. Herakles standing front, head left, pseudo-legend around devolved to dots and lines, 16.71g/9h (cf. Lanz 970; cf. Göbl, OTA pl. 47, class III). Pierced and plugged, scratches on both sides, fine £60-£80
