British Iron Age, DUROTRIGES, Uninscribed issues, silver Stater, Turf Cutter/Cranborne Chase type, devolved head of Apollo comprising wreath, cloak and crescents, rev. disjointed horse left, rectangular head made up of four parallel lines and two pellets at muzzle, body of crescents, pellets above, four vertical legs, horizontal coffee bean motif above, large pellet below with five pellets above, 4.69g/6h (ABC 2154-57 var.; BMC –; VA –; S –). Fine for issue, spots of verdigris, otherwise an interesting variety with multiple features of the Turf Cutter type on the reverse £90-£120
