Jonathan Chapman contributed 2 shillings towards the Free & Voluntary Present of 1661. In 1663 he and his two sons, Richard and John, were imprisoned for attending a Quaker meeting in Liskeard. In the Hearth Tax returns for 1664 he was assessed previously at 2 hearths, the property now in the hands of Rebecca Chapman
