British Iron Age, DUROTRIGES, Uninscribed issues, billon Stater, Cranborne Chase type, devolved head of Apollo comprising wreath, cloak and crescents, two widely spaced pellets between wreath and ‘eye’, rev. disjointed horse left, body of crescents, four vertical crescents, coffee bean above tail, pellets above, 4.03g/1h (ABC 2169; BMC 2555ff; VA 1235-1; S 367). Flan crack at 6 o’clock, otherwise very fine £60-£80
