Benjamin William January enrolled in the Border Scouts on 11 April 1902, and was discharged on 30 June 1902. The Medal Roll of the Border Scouts carries the annotation: ‘Added authy 68/SA./4046 Bronze Medal without clasp issd. 31-3-19.’
