British Iron Age, TRINOVANTES, Dubnovellaunos (c. 5 BC - AD 10), gold Stater, Branch [A] type, wreath, outline crescents back to back at centre, pellet-in-ring to each side, rev. horse galloping left, pellet and pellet-in-ring around, 5.51g (Sills class 2a, 537 [O9/R11]; ABC –; BMC 2429, same dies; VA 1650-5; cf. S 207). Scratch below horse, otherwise better than very fine £800-£1,000
