Private Michael Dowling was born in Stradbally, Queen’s County and enlisted at Heath Camp, Maryborough, Queen’s County. He died of wounds France and Flanders 12 September 1916 whilst serving with the 2nd Battalion, Leinster Regiment. Sold with copy of m.i.c. showing entitlement to 1914-15 Star.
