Alfred the Great (871-899), kings of wessex, Ælfred, Third Coinage, Two-line ‘Guthrum’ type, Mercian dies, aelbred rex around cross pattée, reverse pvnb erht in two lines, pellets between, 1.51 gms (N. 637; S. 1066). Very fine but reverse weak (£300-400)
