M.M., London Gazette, 21 October, 1918.

The following details appeared in the Birmingham Gazette, Friday 4 October 1918: 'Gnr. H. Hollick, Warwickshire Heavy Battery, son of Mrs. Hollick, 87 Havelock Road, Saltley, Birmingham, has been recommended for bravery and devotion to duty. During a bombardment he was in charge of an isolation hut containing a number of sick men. The adjoining hut received a direct hit from an enemy shell. Under intense shell fire and gas bombardment when the isolation hut was in danger of catching fire Gnr. Hollick was responsible for the removal of the sick.'
