Naval General Service 1793-1840, 1 clasp, Trafalgar (George Borthwick) brooch marks to the obverse, suspension re-affixed, otherwise nearly very fine £6000-7000
George Borthwick was born at Dalkeith, Scotland, who entered Victory as a 20-year old Landsman on 11 May 1803. He was present in action at Trafalgar and was discharged from the ship on 15 January 1806. Only 115 officers and men from the Victory lived to claim the medal and Trafalgar clasp in 1848.
